2015 Winter Cabaret - Dinner and a Show

The 2015 Winter Holiday Dinner and Cabaret
was huge success and we had a ball.

Production Staff
We had a lot of students involved in the making of this show. We had the singers, wait staff, food prep, box office and ushers. We also hired some musicians for the band and had some alumni join us as well.

We set up a stage and brought in tables and chairs to make it seem like a cabaret club. Jonah Schnell (Lighting designer) added a gobo on the cyc, a chandlier over the stage, and we lit candles on the tables. It was a warm and intimate staging that gave the singers a close connection with the audience.

The evening was split up to provide time for the the wait staff to bring the food and beverage to the tables.

We tried to sell the tickets in advance as much as we could. It was a pricier ticket than normal but the patron got dinner with the purchase of the show.

Jack Wight was our master of ceremonies and he also sang several songs. He kept the evening going.

The Band

The Singers's
We tried to get a bunch of different people involved. We pulled students from choir, Amen and Aladies and from the Drama Dept. We also got three teachers to sing in the show!

Special Thanks to Simon Moore for being our line cook. He got all of the food plated and out to the wait staff during the show and everything went smooth.

They started with bread sticks and butter on the tables. They were offered Iced Tea or Lemonade. They were brought a salad, pasta and some cookies for dessert.
