2020 Broadway Revue

WG Drama has produced many over the years, but this group of students really brought some power to the show. Most of them were brining some previous stage experience but they all brought a level of confidence that was simply a joy to watch...even if for one night only.

Annalise McCann and Ava Musgraves worked as student producers and largely organized the talent
and got the show ready for the stage.

Many of the technicians in the department had just worked together on the Fall production of "Chicago" in that same space, so the momentum was great.

These were all wonderful students, who worked very hard.
Everything came together in the end and they gave the audience
a wonderful night of Broadway songs.

We thank ECHO and Mr. Johnson for the show pictures.

Abram Wilson sang a song from the musical "Big Fish"

Bridget Moehlman sang a wonderful version of "Alto's Lament"
Caleb Miofsky wowed the crowd with a beautiful ballad from the musical "Company"

Annalise McCann sang a Sondheim song from the show "Assassins"

Ian McCann singing "Empty Chairs and Empty Tables"

Ashley Cimarole sang the song "Crazier than You" with Ian McCann and they did a great job on this duet.

They both had just come off the Fall production of Chicago and felt very comfortable on stage with each other.

Julia Hamm sang a song from Evita and knocked it out of the park!

Jaden also sang some Lloyd Webber and tore up a rendition of Jesus's song from the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar"
Jaden was new to doing Revues with us and hadn't told us she could sing...
well the truth in out - this girl can sing!!!

Eli and his band performed a song from the musical "Jersey Boys"

Alex Defoy and Ian McCann
Lauren Perry and Sam Messena performed a beautiful duet from the musical "Little Women"
They were also given the chance to sing it again for All Write week in the Black Box

Alex and Ava duet on the song "Suddenly Seymore" from Little Shop of Horrors

Ava also sang "World Burns" from the musical "Mean Girls"

Sisi Desuza sang a wonderful version of "Vanilla Ice Cream" from the musical "She Loves Me" that had a recent run on Broadway.

BACKSTAGE

Jaycee ran the spotlight for the show and is a wonderful energy backstage!

Elsa Surfas worked as a stage manager and set runner

Jason and John in the sound booth - there were karaoke tracks for each song and hand held microphones as well for each singer that they were in charge of running for the concert.

Seneca Mahon avoiding the camera as he gets ready to start the show.
Seneca was on the lighting team and was running the board and cues for this show.

Ava and Annalise testing microphones before the audience came in for the show.
The band had to do a practice run as well..

Julia also tested her track and the microphone before the show to be sure

Zia and Amelia on stage before the show being the drama geeks that they are!

The marquee for the show in the Senior Entrance that Mr Schaefer made the week we opened
to help sell more tickets.

We always sell more when the student body knows
what we are doing and who is in the show!
