The Cast of the concert was made up several students who had performed in previous shows and a few that had not yet worked with us. It was a great group of performers and hosts. The techies were also given an opportunity to produce a concert that included lighting and sound.

Since the Rumors set was already being built onstage, we lowered the movie screen and performed the concert in front of the main drape. It worked out great!

The Senior entrance display outside of the Auditorium. We used a chalk banner to promote the show because the display case had the German foreign exchange student welcome info already hung. It looked great and got people talking.

DRESS REHEARSAL

All of the singers came in the night before to run the show. We had all of the techies there as well and we got to practice the follow spots, try out the tracks in order, test the background slides, set the light changes, get a time on the show, and map the stage changes.

BACKSTAGE BEFORE THE SHOW...

Kaya and Willow ran box office for the show

Chamber choir also joined us for a final number in the concert and it was nice having them backstage during the show keeping the energy high. They performed a piece from the musical RENT.

Charlotte, Jeni and Layla getting ready

The cast brought some of their own stuff in to wear on stage, and several used the costume stock to find an outfit. Many of the songs leaned into a character costume and some singers just hinted.

Everyone went all out getting dazzled up for the show. The make-up and hair room was busy!

Chloe Vincent ran some warm-ups with the cast before they had to go on stage...

Everyone had to get voices warmed-up

We try to the get the techies to warm-up as well...everyone needs to be focused to do this work
Warm-ups also bring the group together...
so why not do a quick "shake down"

SHOWTIME!
Let's meet the hosts

The Hosts of the evening, Lydia Foss and Luca Thies

Both hosts dressed up for the event and looked great!
The script gave the audience some context for each song

They both took turns introducing the songs and the singers,
it worked out great and the audience loved their professionalism

                                         THE SINGERS

Daun kicks off the night with "The Trolley Song"
summoning her best Judy Garland to wow the crowd. She is amazing!

Jeni and Emmett take us back
to the Elizabethan period with this comedy duet

Charlotte sings like Ariel in her rendition of the famous "Little Mermaid" ballad

Janiah gives the audience a taste of a New Orleans street parade with her song

Iona was the only singer in the concert to play an instrument as well as sing.
Her choice of song worked great at breaking up the show a bit and giving us some Broadway folk.

Sage lit up the stage with his Gilbert and Sullivan classic...rap

Lucy gave us full Wednesday Addams when she took the stage...pig tails and all!

Riley brought gravitas with her haunting ballad from Les Miz
Maya took the audience back in time to an age of old Hollywood

Her jazzy rendition was right on point for the evening

Emmett and Ellis tackled a song from a brand new show called "Epic"

One of only two duets in the evening

Layla treated us to a soaring ballad...
highlighting everything we love about her voice

Chloe brought down the house with her perfect characterization of Ursula

Fieda wowed the crowd with her powerhouse voice and charm,
her song from the musical "Waitress" was a highlight of the night

Chamber choir was a wonderful encore for the concert

The song "Seasons of Love" allows for many soloist to show off a bit

Mr Davis conducted them from the stage, and they practiced during class for the performance

Each soloist went to the mic for their moment

They sounded beautiful on the harmonies
